  2. When I first met the woman who later became the mother of my child, she didn't need convincing - we always agreed on Depeche Mode. Though, it should be noted, she preferred Catching Up With while I was more of a Songs of Faith and Devotion kind of guy. Perhaps this speaks to deeper relationship issues? :)

  3. Even your quieter, seemingly everyday strips are packed full of meaning and supressed angst. How do you do it?!

  4. Between your love of Depeche Mode and Modest Mouse, I'm surprised that you have found other artists to listen to. Then I remember that you also enjoy Tom Waits and then it all makes sense.

  5. I remember moments from my life far more easily based on what song was playing at the time. Thanks for another amazing comic. You never disappoint, John.

  7. Nice John! This brought back a memory of my Dad, my younger brother and I traveling in Dad's car to a hockey game. My bro popped a Depeche Mode tape into the deck and I thought my Pop would "throw a fit"! Dad was a notorious Country and Western listener and his car radio was his main delivery device of said music. To my shock he let the tape play and as Depeche Mode played on my Dad actually started to sing the lyrics!?! I almost burst out laughing and then thought how far my Dad had come...

Thanks John and thanks Depeche Mode...

    People "really" ARE people!

  9. Depeche Mode makes me cry too. But, it is because I hate them.

    Great comic!

This is right around the same time she cheated on you, right? I love how in the dark you are about why she is realy crying.
